Gx Studio Labs is an extracurricular STEAM program designed to spark creativity and curiosity in students through Game Design, Art & Design, and Engineering. We provide hands-on learning experiences to help students develop real-world skills in these fields.

Kevin, the founder of Gx Studio Labs, is a 3D Artist and Mixed Reality Developer with years of experience in the arts, game design, and education. He created this program to give students early exposure to creative and technological career pathways. Having taught at schools and organizations world-wide including The Dalton School, iD Tech Camps in Hong Kong, and high school(s) in the South Bronx he culminated all of his expertises into creating this program.

  • STEM Engineering: Science & Engineering, Sustainability, etc.

  • Creative Coding: Game Development, Programming, eSports, etc.

Our programs serve students from kindergarten to high school, with courses tailored to different age groups and skill levels.

All instructors go through a double-vetting process, which includes interviews with both Gx Studio Labs and the partner school. They are also required to complete Mandated Reporter training and receive optional professional development in First Aid/CPR and Behavioral Management.

We maintain a small 8:1 student-to-instructor ratio to ensure personalized attention and support.

Our courses require Windows or Mac computers. If a school primarily uses Chromebooks, alternative solutions can be arranged.

Badges of completion are typically given out at the end of each class. For select classes, we offer professional certification training for high school students through Certiport, though this requires a multi-term commitment.

  • Workshops: We host occasional parent-student workshops to showcase projects and learning progress.
  • Community Events: Seasonal showcases allow students to present their work to family, peers, and industry professionals.
